Governor’s Business Plan Contest entries due Jan. 31

  Are you an entrepreneur looking for a little cash to get your business off and running? Then sign up for the 2011 Wisconsin Governor's Business Plan Contest.Entries are being accepted until 5 p.m. on Jan. 31.

The grand prize is worth $50,000 in cash and in-kind services, and finalists once again have the chance to win $200,000 in cash and in-kind services. Since 2004, the contest has awarded $1 million in cash and in-kind services. Past finalists have raised millions of dollars in private equity.

 Wisconsin residents 18 years old and older are eligible, as are teams from Wisconsin-based businesses and organizations.  Entries from outside Wisconsin from people or companies planning to relocate in the state may be accepted.  Initial entry is a 250-word idea abstract.
