The Fond du Lac Association of Commerce’s ACUniversity is hosting the program “Verbal Judo – The Art of Communication,” from 7:30 to 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 28 at the Fond du Lac Police Department at 126 N. Main St. The class, taught by Capt. Aaron Goldstein of the department, discusses the basic communication tools required to effectively deal with people in a highly emotional state. The class will teach attendees how to communicate with confidence in their personal and professional lives, break down barriers to communication, prevent and de-escalate verbal conflicts and diffuse potentially volatile situations. - Tuesday, Aug. 14: The Manitowoc Chapter of Women in Management will host a Garden Tour and Luncheon for area professional women at the Aurora Healthcare Healing Gardens at 5000 Memorial Drive in Two Rivers.
