Butte des Morts Country Club celebrated its 90th anniversary and a three-year, $3 million upgrade to its facilities is under way, including a new pool and pool house, new tennis court, a state-of-the-art golf practice area, new parking lot, an upgraded irrigation system for the golf course and improvements to the locker rooms and pro shop.
Ben Michiels, owner of the Eggs n’ Bacon Wagon and the first recipient of a microloan through the Advance Microloan Program, has paid the loan in full. Advance, the economic development branch of the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, also announced several other clients have paid their microloans in full: Machine Plus, Mutual EDM and Machine — doing business as Wieber Machine — and Advocates for Healthy Transitional Living. All three businesses have now qualified for traditional bank financing. The Agnesian HealthCare Foundation’s Hospice Hope Cancer Care Charity Open raised $270,000 during its 2014 event. The money supports the ongoing mission of Hospice Hope, as well as the Cancer Care Fund and patients with financial need. Agnesian Health Care opened its Agnesian Wound Care services in Fond du Lac, to treat chronic wounds that are difficult to heal because of diseases and conditions, such as diabetes, obesity, aging and the late effects of radiation therapy. The Gold Wing Roads Riders Association local Chapter C in the Fond du Lac area has donated $2,100 to support the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation Women’s Health Fund for Breast Cancer.
